How is Akranit processed?
Akranit can be easily processed with every type of tools that furniture makers use.

Cutting: Proper and precise cutting can be carried out by using circular disc and diamond tipped cutters.
The recommended cutting speed is 2-3 meters/minute. For radius cutting, a boring machine and appropriate knives and patterns are used. Plotter counters can be used for works requiring high sensitivity.

Sticking: Akranit can be easily stuck with its glue appropiate for its color. The sticking mark is not visible at the end of the process. As the glues are easily flammable, one must work far from a fire.

Surface processing: Akranit is emerized as dry or wet from thick to thin(No.240-400-800-1200) after the sticking processes have been finished by means of vibrating or orbital emerizing machines; a surface as bright as satin is obtained. If it is wanted brighter, paste polish can be applied to it.

Storing: As the weight of Akranit changes by thickness and dimension, single sheets must be carried and kept vertically in order to prevent breaking and bending.
Sheets more than one must be carried and kept on a palette. Akranit must be kept in a closed area which is ventilated properly. It must be protected from high temperatures and humidity.
